《诗经·小雅·大田》：“不稂不莠。” 原意指耕作精细，没有什么杂草。后用不稂不莠指既不像稂，也不像莠。比喻一个人不成材或没出息。稂（láng）：狼尾草。莠（yǒu）：狗尾草。
